For all your sports & non-sports related pain
Acupuncture is a holistic healing therapy that works by stimulating healing responses to naturally balance the body.
Acupuncture integrates the mind, spirit, and body to improve energy levels and instil a great sense of wellbeing.
Each treatment is tailored to the individual, as a diagnosis is made by locating the root of the condition and not just treating any signs or symptoms.
Acupuncture works well alongside conventional medicine and is also used as preventative healthcare.
HISTORY
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been using Acupuncture safely and successfully for over 2000 years. The principles of allowing the body to self-heal with stimulation, and to integrate and balance, are paramount to maintaining a strong sense of well-being.
TREATMENT
Very fine, single use, sterile needles are used to stimulate specific points around the body. Cupping, Tuina, Guasha or Moxibustion may also be used and can be discussed, if the need should arise.
An initial consultation is required in every case. This normally takes about an hour and a half and may or may not involve a short treatment. Treatment usually consists of weekly sessions, lasting 45 minutes to an hour, although this can vary depending on the individual case. The treatment will usually leave the individual feeling relaxed and calm
